Keri Wehlander

Keri Wehlander is an author, hymn lyricist, liturgical dancer and leader of retreats and workshops. Spirituality and the arts provide a primary focus for her work in various settings in both Canada and the U.S. A passion for making biblical stories and imagery come alive is at the heart of her work. She consistently seeks to find ways of integrating artistic expression into the life of the church. Her book, Circles of Grace: Worship and Prayer in the Everyday, has become an invaluable resource for congregations, church camps, retreat settings and individuals desiring to deepen their prayer life. She is the editor of Courage for Hallelujahs: Alternate Worship Resources for Lent and Easter and the series editor for the Experience! Faith Formation Curriculum for Adults. The most recent book she has edited is entitled Creating Change: The Arts as Catalyst for Spiritual Transformation, and it will be released in September of this year.

Keri has enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate with a number of friends on their creative projects. Her lyrics are included on three different recordings: Linnea Good's (www.linneagood.com) Swimmin' Like A Bird, Bruce & Cheryl Harding's (www.evensong.ca) Like a Healing Stream and Jim & Jean Strathdee's (www.strathdeemusic.com) Reach Out Children. One of Keri's poems was also included in Ray McGinnis' (www.writetotheheart.com) Writing the Sacred.
